The motor will clear the cross member and stay inder the hood on a 2wd, but the same is not true for a 4x4, at least not on a 73-87, then you'll need a body lift or a custom cross member w/ a suspension lift.
I already have a 1983 c20, 6bt, slightly modded turbo, getrag, 2wd, 4.10's 14 bolt full floater (already killed 2 semi-floaters, those spider pins are WEAK!)
