Quick Sway Bar Question

Bagged 67 C10 that has never had a bar before so I'm going to mount it directly to the frame. I have the clamps, bar and bushings and it's all together ready to drill the frame to mount. The question I have is, should I wait until I have the truck put together (it's a rolling frame right now) and the chassis loaded or is there some trick to figure out where to mount it to the frame?

Re: Quick Sway Bar Question

Not 100% sure here but from what I have done and seen. I think you should wait till its loaded. Your geometry of the suspension will change with the weight of the body and engine etc. Thus causing a difference in the position and angles of your sway bar.

Re: Quick Sway Bar Question

You can loosely install it, but wait to tighten it all down until the full weight is on the truck. So the bushings and all are all set when the truck is at it's final ride height.
