need carb advise
okay i have an edelbrock 750 performer carb on my 383ci it has never really ran just right with it on there. seems like it is getting to much fuel and killing my permormance. i have been told one of the best carbs for my setup would be a Holly 670cfm street avenger. does anyone run a Holly 670 or know what i need to do to the edelbrock 750 to make my rig run its best???? any adv would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Re: need carb advise
Did you buy and use the tuning kit for the Edelbrock yet?
I had to print tuning instructions from their site, but they are very good instructions, you prob have them if you bought the carb. I wouldn't think a Holly would run any better out of the box than an Edel but it might tune out better than an Edel carb. |

Re: need carb advise
i have the 1407 eddy and i runs great on my stock 350. turn the idle mixture screws down till they stop and turn them out 3/4 of a turn do this at running temp. after that let it run for a min or two and hold your hand over the primaries if it starts racing then its to lean turn another 1/4 turn try it again if it does nothing your in the ballpark of were it needs to be set hope this helps. this is what i had to do to mine and all i got to do is tweak it here and there and i should be tuned good luck
