Re: Seats for tall guys
Before I blew my truck apart, it had a 70 something bench that worked well for me. I want to run a seat out of an '03 but I just don't see it happening. I may end up using a 96-97 style bench in mine. Haven't gotten nearly that far yet...

Re: Seats for tall guys
Not necessarily. It depends on the track height, seat bottom thickness(both add more height to the seat overall, reducing headroom) and seat back thickness(this causes the seat to effectively be further from the back of the cab creating less leg room). These are the items that need to be investigated to make a proper seat selection for your height.
Generally speaking, a car seat will sit lower than a truck seat because of the track setup. The later model truck seats are thicker(base and back) so there will be less leg and headroom. I personally want to run a bench for the extra seating room. I'll leave the buckets/console to my Z28. Hopefully someone else will chime in with their personal experiences on this. I just remembered, Woogeroo has a site that has links to common seat installation/fit that might help you out. Try searching for his user name and go to his website.
