Re: junkyard Chalet...sad
know that's a project. that's a lot of rust. why do these blazer's rust so much in the same area. like the quarter panel's on that blazer did they most likely rust because of the wheel well crome trim piece.

I always heard it was a lack of undercoating from the factory...

Re: junkyard Chalet...sad
Russell, glad I could help. More than likely the guy who did own it sold it to the junkyard where it sits now...it looks as if it is in a different location...and there is no way it could have drove there!
The owner of the yard I guarantee does not own a cell phone. If you send anyone there, warn them he is a crabby ol bastard!! OK, he isn't soo bad once you get to know him, but he'll be a prick upon first meeting you.

Re: junkyard Chalet...sad
These were all '76s or '77s, except I'm still wondering about the one in this thread, which doesn't seem to follow the standards us Chalet nuts are familiar with - colors & stripe designs. It may have been a leftover camper unit that was plopped on a '78, and given a serial number way out of sequence with the others....
It is now for sale at this estate sale link.
