71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
Anyone got a caliper handy and a wheel off their 71+ disc brake setup? I'm looking for the dimensions for the snout (including dust cap) to ensure a wheel with a center bore of 3.07" and hub depth of 2.75" will fit.

No problem on my end. But if your dog ate them, you're going to have problems in a few hours *gulp*

I have 3.06 and 1.75. You should be good. In return, I would like to know what kind of wheels you're gonna use.

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
XXL,... I measured my blazer rotors. The hub diameter was about 3.030" and the depth was 2.875".
They are ECE cross-drilled 5 lug rotors and with new ECE dust caps. I also measured the bore of a 5 lug ralley. I came up with 3.035". Hope this helps.

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
Doh! Go with lolife's numbers. I just realized my loose rotors are 1" thick, so the bore would be the same but the snout is shorter- and I didn't include the dust cap...

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
My rotor are 1-1/4" thick, if that makes a difference.

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
Sounds like a worst case of the dreaded cap doesn't fit syndrome. Or best case, they work fine. I'll let you know on the wheel type once I get them... I need a head start on the crowd

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
Cap no-fit is easily curable with an angle grinder- with no ill effects to the rotors...

Re: 71-72 front rotor hub dimensions
Current wheels have been capless for 10 years (next month), so as you can see, I am flexible on this point
