I haven't used those in particular, but have been using magnaflow mufflers on everything I drive for the past few years and love them. They have excellent products so I wouldn't doubt that the magnapacks are just as good as everything else. I have no idea on sound though.

Mac- I am just joking about the camera. Honestly I was using the same thing untill my wife got a new "fancy" digicam and gave the old one to me "to use for taking pictures of stupid car stuff."

Re: Show me your exhaust

vertically oriented flowmasters to 45 deg exit behind rear wheels. plan to change the horizontal exit to a 45 deg downspout that will just poke out under the rear bed wall behind the tires - just not crazy about the 45 deg out... but it'll do for now. Also like duals out the back.

Re: Show me your exhaust

I fabricated my own exhaust and ran the tail pipes on the outside of the frame. This keeps the exhaust away from the gas tank and allows better acess to the driveline, shocks, trailing arms, etc. for maintenance.

Long tube headers, 28" long cherry bombs, 2-1/2" full length exhaust.

More detailed information is available in my build thread, see link below in my signature line.

Hope this helps.

Now that's just wrong!

(truth is - it's not the camera cost, compared with the outside processing on these "throw away" jobs: It's the utter humiliation of having my 3 year old grandson showing me how to use the damn thing!)

Re: Show me your exhaust

I was planning on running Borla mufflers and change the exhaust exit to the side behind the axle (from out the rear) but noticed that Dynamax makes a muffler that has the "X" pipe built in so you only use one muffler.

Looking at it has created several moments of thinking "is there enough room to mount this in the center?".

Re: Show me your exhaust

I mounted the Dynomax with the built in X under the cab between the frame and inner rocker. To noisy for my liking, changed the sound on the truck though, dosn't sound as rough as it used too.

Re: Show me your exhaust

I used Flowtech Terminator mufflers mounted vertically under the bed with turn downs in front of the axle. With the mufflers under the bed I’ve never had droning in the cab. I love the sound of these things. They first went on my 46 Ford back in the 80’s, then my GMC and finally my wife’s 68 F250. They never wear out and were cheap at one time. Here are a couple of shots of the latest exhaust system when installed a couple of years ago:

Re: Show me your exhaust

I have block hugger headers and my muffler guy ran pipes on outside of frame and turn down behind tire like old camaros use to be. He put flowmasters under bed I have no interior roar. I told him to tuck as good as he could and he done a awesome job. Before I had big headers and they hanged down to low eye sore to me.will post pics later thanks

Re: Show me your exhaust

I wanted to run the tailpipes out the back but becasue its lowered a bunch I had trouble until I tried running the tailpipes under instead of over the rear end. The pipea are above the lower shock mounts and they clear everything nicely. Even when the truck is jacked up in full droop the pipes don't interfere anywhere.

Headers to pipes that go through the crossmember, mufflers under the bed between frame and trailing arms. under the rear and back up to bumper height.
