Fleetside to stepside

I'm thinking about taking off my short fleetside bed on my 84 1/2 ton and putting on a stepside bed. both have the gas tank on the driver's side. are the gas tanks the same? is this a simple bolt in swap? thanks

Re: Fleetside to stepside

I think the metal fill necks on the stepside bed gas tanks are different. Get that and you should be good to go.
