Tire ride question.
Tire ride question.
Would there be any noticeable difference in ride smoothness between a 70 and 75 series tire? I am talking about the same make and model tire except for the series of course. I will have to buy a new set of tires for this 75 C10 next week and every little bit of added ride smoothness is needed.

Re: Tire ride question.
A 235/75 will ride a little softer, but at the expence of handling the wider/shorter 235/70 would give.
What size wheels are you running? Has it been lowered any? |

Re: Tire ride question.
For the most part, you will not be able to notice the difference in the ride. There is not that much difference in the amount of the rubber in height, unless you are going to sizes that are just a little bigger than your rim (very low profile). What you may notice is the amount of tracking that a 75 series tire may do over a 70 series tire. By that, I mean a slimmer tire may follow road ruts or tracks more than a wider profile would do.

Re: Tire ride question.
A 70 series would be pinched and wear faster in the middle on a 15x6 rim.
Best to stick with a 235 or 225 /75 R-15 until you upgrade the rims. Last edited by heavychevy79; 05-25-2009 at 01:47 AM. |
