Biggest tires that would fit well without rubbing?
Going to replace the tires on the 76 3/4ton soon, figured I might as well go a bit taller than last time. Just wondering what the tallest tire anyone had experience running without getting any rubbing in the turns was?

I run a 33x12.5x17, with a 2" lift spring and balljoint spacer. I have no problems with rubbing when turning and di not have to trim my fenders.

Re: Biggest tires that would fit well without rubbing?
i just put some 33x10.50 on 16.5x10 wheels on my 3/4 ton and they rub in the front of the fender so don't get 33x10.50s unless your gonna raise the front or trim your fender.

I've run 255/85-16 BFG's with no problem on stock rims. They are listed at 33.3". I would not put 10" rims on the truck, been there, done that. I have run 33/12.50's for more than 30 years on 8" rims with no lift or fender mods and no problems on many 1/2ton 4wd and 3/4ton 2 and 4wd GM square body trucks. I know some that have run a 34" Interco tire with good results. |
