WTB: frame brackets+mount for 250 motor in '71 GMC
Hey guys, I bet some of you hot-rodders take these out every other week. I just need a rusty old set of brackets and mounts to drop a chugalug 250 that I have into my daily driver to get to work in.
The truck had a 292, and contrary to what I've heard before, these won't work on the 250. Sliding the passenger side bracket back make the engine sit sideways.. I tried shimming everything up, but that wasn't working out with the transmission mounts, etc. Seems like the correct frame brackets and mounts would be a much easier way to go. Actually, I'd be happy if you could just sell me the frame brackets- I'm pretty sure the motor mounts will be the same. I'll be paying shipping to 77007 (Houston, Texas) Thanks! Patrick |

Hell, it might be only the passenger side frame bracket that is different maybe? Does anybody know for sure?
Thanks Patrick |
