Opinion: painting my driveshaft
I know it really doesn't matter, but what color do you guys think I should paint my drive shaft? Ideas that would make it unique are always welcome.

Re: Opinion: painting my driveshaft
paint it silver or polish it... red might be too much. polished would be sick.

As low as that thing sits to the ground it's not like anybody will see it. I second the polish. Send it to advanced plating in Nashville and have them chrome it.

Re: Opinion: painting my driveshaft
I'd go with black or silver if it were my truck. Keep it simple, a little goes a long way.

Re: Opinion: painting my driveshaft
yeah, that's pretty much what I had it down to as well. Basically everything that is round on the chassis is painted silver, but wasn't sure if it would look right. I guess the question should have been... silver or black? I'm leaning towards black.

Re: Opinion: painting my driveshaft
If it were me, I would paint the D-shaft and the rear end silver....
I think you just wanted an excuse to show off that sweet frame. Nice job dude...

um...

I probably should have done the whole drive train in silver, but hindsight is 20/20 I guess. I was planning ob painting the brake drums silver temporarily until I do my brake upgrade. The silver on the chassis parts is the same color as the silver paint on the wheels. Quote:
Thanks. I really want to be able to drive thee dang thing again, but I am pretty proud of how the chassis is turning out. There is a few more pics in my build thread I snapped when I got the exhaust done the other day. Last edited by smashingchuck; 06-07-2009 at 08:45 PM. |

It's awesome! I'd have to go with the others on the black.
