Re: pics of trucks with 17x8 17x9.5

Heres a thread with a pciture of my truck with TTIIs. 17x8 and 17x9.5s. I plan on either getting 18s or a tire with a bit more sidewall this winter.

heres a link to the wheels
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/whe...79413&pc=23187

they are by MB wheels and are called old school. look exactly like coys, but even though coys are already pretty affordable, these are even cheaper at 124 per wheel for 17x8and 137 for the 17x9.

and thanx! i think i want the 17's with some big rubber! these trucks look great! are there any specs on the tires on the blazer or the brown shortbed? any help is greatly appreciated!

Those are nice wheels. Someone else on here was looking at that same wheel, but I think they were going with 20's

I like the MB wheel as well. I was looking into them too. Do you know the BS or offset they offer?

Re: pics of trucks with 17x8 17x9.5

Here is my truck when I first lowered it .
Fronts Boyd Coddington Smoothie 2 17x8 with 4.5 inches of backspace .
Front tires are 255/55/17
Rears Boyd Coddington Smoothie 2 17x10 with 4.5 inches of backspacing
Tires are 275/60/17
Rears would be better with 5 icches to 5.25 inches of backspace but these didnt rub . They might have if I lowered it more .
It is lowered about 4.5 to 5 in the front and 5 inches in the rear .

Re: pics of trucks with 17x8 17x9.5

Yeah, I really don't mean to do that. I always make 'em bigger than I intend to. Subconscious I guess.
Anyway, I took a little liberty, but hope this will work for you.

I took Kenny's (87Lowrider) truck and modified it a little. His truck already had 17s. And they are very similiar. His is a little cleaner presently. Same basic principle. I widened the back tire some, out toward the fender. I don't know if the wheels in question will stagger this well. But I think it looks pretty good.
