Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
I did not. They can differ from year to year (there are a few different year ranges in fact), so it's best to get a schematic of the year you are working on the be sure of colors and pin locations.

I'm not making any guesses! I just hope I can turn the drum with my one wheel wonder without spinning the tire!

Yeah, that'd stink to get up there and just spin on the drum. I'm sure you'll be just fine. Good luck and dont forget the video.

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
Gerald wins the prize!! Whatever that may be......
So..... Baseline was 243.04hp & 283.91lb/ft on the first pulls. The very first pull was a little higher, but everything was cool. HP and TQ dropped as it got up to operating temp. After a few tweaks and letting it cool down to the same temp as pulls 2 and 3, the best pull was 265.75hp & 304.91lb/ft. Total gain of 22.71hp and 21 lb.ft! They were pretty impressed with the initial numbers. They said they have only had a few other stock 5.3's on there before, and they averaged 180-200 hp. So after the first couple of runs, they were pretty shocked. I'm going to upload some videos after i post this, then I'll post 'em up!

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
Another thing to keep in mind is we are right at 5000' elevation here.
EDIT - If I am doing the math correctly, that comes out to about 315hp at sea level.

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
One of the middle pulls. As he started easing into it, it jumped down a gear, so he had to back off and ease into it again.
Doesn't sound too bad! The guy at the end is Chris, board member powell72. 121 mph at just over 5000rpm in 3rd gear. The green line is the HP curve from the first pull, and the blue line is the best (last) pull.
