Creep can you take a pic of your leaf set up? and is it on the outside of the frame? I just dont know how the leaf springs are set up on the GMC's. If it's on the outside dont waist your money on the CPP trailing arms. If you want to bag it just run a link bar from your leaf pearch to the axle. Much cheaper for you.

Hey Ryan, here are some more pics of my black truck that has(as you said) just a small notch, but the header problem has been fixed. So it goes alot lower. It doesn't "lay frame" ...just crossmember. Thanks for the nice words about my truck and I think yours looks great where it is too.

If the leaf pearch lays lower then the frame, then all you have to do is bust the welds and move it up.
I like the way chevytrucknuts truck sits. But I'm more of how the orange one lays out!

Re: Bagged, how low will it go with standard cnotch. Any pics???
Creep, my truck is a leaf spring frame. The mount does hang below the frame, BUT it is in the location where the frame begins to kick upwards so the mount is not below the main body of the frame underneath the cab. Ruffrida's suggestion would work well for a 2-link and then fab a panhard to control side to side....or Watt's link.

Will the 60-66 truck lay the frame on stock suspension? with a big c-notch.

You have to do a lot of stuff and stuff if you want to lay frame. But don't let that stop you . Everything you ever wanted to know is here. I'll you have to do is search and read and look at pictures and then spend $$. I guess it depends on what you consider stock means. Born in Vernon.BC

If you call your a-arm crossshafts frame, then yes. Depends on tire size , too.

Re: Bagged, how low will it go with standard cnotch. Any pics???
skullcandy you can use your stock supsension parts. But and I mean a Big But. You will not be able to lay frame in the front because the crossmember and LCA lays under the frame. You can either section your crossmember or Z the frame to get what you need to lay out. For the back You will have to build a really wide notch at the bottom, because the trailing arms this the frame before it ever lays out. Ways around this Z the back of the frame as well to raise the bed section higher then under the cab. You can build a back half using 2x3 should give you the clearance so it doesn't hit. The problem that most people have when using the stock trailing arms is that your going to have to spend the money to box the arms or it will twist on you since you have to offset the bag. I was planing on doing the same thing, but after really looking at how much trouble it would be to just to get the stock parts to lay out you can build a 2,3,or 4 link for the same price. If you want to know what I'm talking about look at a bunch of the threads, and theres a thread that supports what I'm talking about I'll try to find it for ya!

The black '63 suburban and the black '65 are both bagged and have a small notch. The orange truck from a few pics back is the same frame set up but the body has been dropped 6 inches around the frame. The sheetmetal touches before the frame does. Its a lot of work and you loose some leg room but you get a really good ride out of it.

Ben- Yeah, I love that truck.. stance is sweet.. Some day I will build another one... Because you can own more than one 60-66 right.. lol.
Jack- Talked to Jake today.. Going in next week.. We are gonna bag the rear and do new spindles and springs up front.. I dont really care about the front being low as much as I do the back.. I take it those are pics from Billit Proof? Looking good.. Wish I could have made it..The Baby is taking up all my time.
