Carb Help
Bought my truck about 2 months ago,PO was running it with no air cleaner.One of the first things I diid was rebuild the carb.Now when she sits for more than a day or 2 all of the fuel drains back down towards the tank and it is difficult to start.Its a roch 2 barrel on a sb350.Any one have an idea of what might be causing this?Thanks in advance for any input,Mike

That's very interesting. I have a Rochester Quadrajet on a 350 and it has been doing exactly the same thing for years. Otherwise it runs perfectly. I would be very interested in hearing what other members have to say about this. P.S. I have a mechanical pump.

Fuel pump might be bad. There's a check valve in it that's supposed to keep the gas up in the line. If it goes bad the gas can drain out and gradually empty the float bowl. Try a new pump and see what happens.

Sounds like the notorious fuel well plugs. Check out this link for a fix.
