new member w/ quick question
Hey everybody,
I have a 75 k5 and a quick question. Just curious if I can put on 33x13.50 with stock suspension setup without rubbing or without trimming the fenders. I've definitely found pictures of k5's with 33's on them, but they are raised a few inches. I did find an image of a 76 with stock suspension with 33's on them, but I can't tell if the fenders have been trimmed or not. That was Tink's truck on this website. I also found useRc10's truck with 33's, but I don't know if the 85 fender openings were different or if the tires on his truck are as wide (if that even makes a difference) His truck is also raised 2'' so any help is appreciated, thanks. |

I am not a 4x4 guy, but I would say you need about 2"-3" to get them to work. Am I right?

Re: new member w/ quick question
the largest i could ever fit with stock suspension was 32 inch and even then i would rub on the front fenders on full flex

Re: new member w/ quick question
My 84 4x4 has no issues with 33s. Is suspension different from 75-84?

Re: new member w/ quick question
well, i do know that late 70's blazers and up are about 2.5-3 inches taller than the early blazers, however, i don't know if that is a body or suspension lift (not that it matters).
I'm not adverse to raising the suspension, but if i can fit the bigger tires without the suspension lift, than i would rather do that. btw, this truck's offroading use i would categorize as light. The most offroading it will do is a ranch and a few rough mountain roads. nothing serious imo. Last edited by rxm6; 07-09-2009 at 01:30 PM. Reason: spelling fail |
