Wipers have a mind of there own??
Every time I turn on my ignition, my wipers cycle a few times like I have hit the squirters. You know how if you just tap the windshield wiper squirt button, your wipers cycle a few times.
This is everytime I turn on the ignition The previous owner said there may be a short in the wiper switch? I have bought a new wiper, cruise, turn signal lever, but I just wanted to run this by the group before I tear into my steering column.

LMAO

can I join in too? I just replaced my switch and lever, and still have NO wipers at all. I replaced the switch mainly because my turn signals didn't work correctly and my lever was broken. Unfortunately this didn't fix my problem of no wipers.

Hey! Welcome to the club! From what I have come up with it is one of two things: the delay control module is fried or the windshield washer pump is dead (if you unplug it, it causes more problems). I'm going to replace both. I'm tired of my windshield being streaky!!!!!

well luckily here in Yuma, it doesn't rain much at all. But I'm going to have to see if the motor is getting power or not when the switch is turned on, and then go from there. Personally I think that the new arm I just installed isn't the correct one. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon.

Welcome to the club...
Got the same problem.
Wipers work whenever I don't want them to work ! The "pipi" pump does not work either... Thought of changing the switch , resolved the problem for now , pulling out the connection , till it rains again. Just getting a little wet sometimes... 79 C10 LWB 77 Impala 250ci "Efficiency & precision, contact the Baron..." |

Its the module under the steering column. Little black box with
silver fins. My delays did same thing. (actually no delay)Bought a used delay module off ebay. Delays work but I can toot my horn and my wipers cycle. LOL
