Re: What kind of wheels are these?
Aftermarket chrome Vette rallies. Are they 6 lug or 5 lug?

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
Might be made by Wheel Vintiques or Stockton Wheel. Will probably rust in a few years. They usually do. Keep them clean and waxed and may last longer. Or sell them.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
since it is a 67, and described as a death trap, and the fender shown gives the beater vibe... i'm going to guess 6 lug?
as mentioned, those things do like to rust up like a square body or vega. |

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
They wouldn'd be 6 lug if they were vette wheels, They are the same wheels that are on the truck on cover of LMC catalog. They are $800.00 a set with caps, So if you paid $900 for the truck you made a hell of deal.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
They are not oem vette wheels, which were 8 inches wide at most. These are aftermarket and can be 6 lug.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
Why can't they be 6 lug? Wheel Vintiques makes 6 lug ralleys.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
The term "Vette Rally" should not make one feel like they are vette only wheels - Vette Rally is used to describe an entire family of wheels made in 14x7, x8, 15x4-15x8 from the factory.
Used on anything from Novas, Camaro's to corvette's & Monte Carlos

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
And if they were OG Vette wheels they wouldn't fit a truck anyway even if the truck is a five lug. They are aftermarket wheels.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
corvette rallys describes the generic style and look of the wheels GM put on the muscle cars and corevetts in the 60's and 70's.
They have been made in the aftermarket for 20 years now, if not more. The afterrmarket ones can be in any size or bolt pattern, and still be genericly called corevette rallys. If they are the same make of the ones I had (and I don't know the make of those ones) there is no way they are worth anything close to 800 bones. |

Re: What kind of wheels are these?
I don't know if I have 5 lug or 6 lug. I would imagine 5 lug by the way the rest of the truck is outfitted. I haven't been able to do ANYTHING yet. My daughter is in town and once she leaves, I will have black fingernails for the next 5 years!
The wheels look to be in great shape. We don't get much rust here in the desert, so I'm hoping they will last a while, cause I kind of like them. Thanx for the info! |
