I got some yard work done today and I pressure washed my driveway so I can seal it tomorrow.

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

We temp mounted the PB Dropmember V3 into the 69-to-64 swb frame conversion to verify everything fits as intended & we appear to be good to go. Still have to get the R&P bolted & then we're 100% on the front.

I got my shop fabbed c-sections 1/2 way welded in. Now I have to get the boxing plates welded & make a final decision on my tweaked OE PHB set-up (I didn't consider PHB to rear end cover clearance issues that might result from moving the rear-end back 1.5"). So like Ken, I did my share of research between grinding & welding.

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

Got my resto project a little further along. Got the axles hung, brakes installed (new in front), fuel lines plumbed, shocks reinstalled, and crossmember and engine towers and mounts put in. After I stab the motor/tranny/tcase and driveshafts back in, it'll need a good cleaning to get the dust and antiseize off.

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

got the interior freshened up, as you can see, the original carpet was beyond cleaning, (that picture was after 1 hour of scrubbing, using carpet cleaner, and a pressure washer) no luck, lol, so i went to oreilly's, got a 10 dollar roll of carpet (temporary til school funds come in) and went to work, pretty good for my first time i thought

also cleaned the plastic panels up a bit

today I did an oil change while I was at work and couldn't stop thinking about converting to a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

I worked on the house... tearing down a chimney that goes through a roof... yuck! Also watches some moron try to do a burnout from the corner, loose it, turf my yard, pop his tire on the curb, smack the oil pan on the curb, and 360* through my drive way. Then I woke up last night to have a freaking little bat in the house. Other than that, pretty uneventful.

Ken- you are going to love the way those sleeve bags ride, especially in that location.

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

Got the first set of shelves up in the parts shed. Started moving stuff around out back, sorting, throwing and putting away, so as to get at the weeds so I can mow. Coated some timbers to edge the new garden. Got a switch and fixed the daughter's ceiling fan. Sent the eldset off to band camp, cleaning the younger's room so we can seperate them. Think I've convinced the wife to fund the pole barn in October if I'm still employed at not-quite Generous Motors co.

got the top plate finally in the trans(sm465 was a paint to line up syncros) waiting on flywheel bolts so i can slide the motor back in. pulled the rest of the clutch pedal from the donor truck and the gauges.

Re: What did you get done 8/02/09 edition

Nothing Chevy truck related and won't until I can find a cheap frame close by.
I had to fix a flat (3-3.5" carriage bolt) in my XJ Cherokee I got from pulling a couple of girls out of a ditch. I guess that is the price you pay for being a nice guy...
