That Classic 96 is the box i have been stashing up cash for a while now for. What I am currently using is a older Craftsman box similar to the tall black box in the far right of your first pic, only mine doesn't have a center box and I've got tools overflowing all over my shop. |

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
My wife's and mine. Snap On KRSC31. It's the only one in Texas painted "Hammer Blue." Not sure what to do about those scratches...They were there when I got it. Can't get touch up paint for it unless I have it done custom. $$$$ Second: An old Waterloo I got for $20. I added my own custom touch with some of the emblems found inside. Third: My $1 Craftsman. I need to buy a bottom roll cab for this. And lastly, my road chest: A 1950s Kennedy 520 Machinists chest. Yeah, I really need to clean.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
Nothing great but here's my tool boxes & my two girls. Nonhog do you still want the four swivel casters I offered? We better get them in place before you start loading tools in them. Let me know.

But I have to agree! This Toolwagon box I got is way over priced if you are paying retail! But if you are paying retail then you are getting screwed no matter what box it is. I didnt pay anywhere close to retail. Maybe divide retail in half and that is what I got in it. Yeah still an expensive box but it has everything I wanted. A Master series box, stainless top, hutch, and the side cabinets that hold TONS of stuff. And Now I have somewhere to put that high dollar master ball joint kit and slide hammer without taking up a whole drawer!! hahah lata CHRIS

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
Here's mine in serious need of cleaning.
I bought the one on the right 20 years ago and it was old then I paid a $1000. for it and remember telling the guy that's a lot of money for an empty tool box. He said look inside. It was full of Snap-on, Mac, etc tools. I was happy, he even let me make payments. The one on the left was bought one piece at a time. I got the top box from a swap meet for $250.00 and the bottom in pieces and badly faded, but it was free. I had it assembled and cleaned in three hours. The friend who gave it to me couldn't believe it was the same box. I repaid his generosity by fixing his truck. I'm trying to find a center section for the larger box. My son is quite the smart guy, he sometimes buys me tools and I said that was nice of you. His reply was their going to mine some day anyways. Last edited by srr; 10-06-2010 at 02:21 AM. |

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
Purchased new in 2001. I just got it back from my buddy's garage wheres its been since I changed jobs in late 2008. It's missing a few tools but I know who I can borrow them back off of
I made the prybar holder/cover, the aerosol can tray, and the hammer and air tool holders

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
I drilled 2 holes then cut out the center to make a key hole. I made this bracket but somebody does sell something similar but I can't recall who.

Re: Lets see your Toolbox!
sorry only picture I have of it on this computer but I got tired of having tools in different boxes, buckets and milk creats so I broke down and bought myself a box a couple years ago. let me tell you how nice it is to beable to find tools and the amount of double and triple tools I have because I'd thought I'd lot it.
the black roller is the new one, and its about 7 ft tall the red roller is known as the bi poler box because you dont know what you'll get when you open a drawer and the small one is full of tune'n stuff jets, carb parts, distribtor parts, plugs and wires
