Roll cage is in. Pics
I got my K5 back the other day after having a friend build a cage for it. The cage is pretty sweet. The seats are incorporated into the cage & I had him set them up a little higher than stock. It's nice to be able to sit up high enough to see over the hood.

thats a pretty sweet setup, can you post more pics of the rollbar with the tail gate down. Are you planing on putting a soft top on it?

Here's a link to more pics. Here
I don't think there are any with the tailgate down, but I can get some soon. I am planning to go with a soft top in the winter & a bikini top in the summer. My hard top was kinda trashed & I hated all the noise inside the cab when it was on. It rattled & would kinda echo all the road noise around inside. The cage is a little too wide to fit the top on(by design) but I get the added benefit of a little extra head room. Plus the way it's bent, there's plenty of room for a back seat if I decide to put one in. |

Nice pool. I like the roll cage, but is your buddy going to finish up those welds? It'd look kinda bad when you paint it if the welds weren't done. Later.

Orrr. Maybe they are finished, in the pic of the top you just see a couple of tacks, Then in the later pics, there are none specifically of the welds, but they look done. My bad.

You might want to put rollbar padding on the top bars.If not you get an annoying buzz when the soft top vibrates against the bar.I'm speaking with experence.I have a full cage and soft top.

Thanks for the tip on the padding. I was planing to run it without padding, but if it makes noise, I guess I will have to put some on.
