1964 chevy c10 rust repair

just a got a 1964 c10 running fleetside shortbed and it has rust, it looks like the metal headliner is about to fall off, above the front window( i think they sel the patch panel), and the rear small window on the top part pretty much from end to end would it be easier to find a better cab or to replace the panels, im ok at patch panels have a lincoln mig i use for my mini truck. any help would be great

I have the patch panel for above the windshield but haven't installed it yet. But, it's the outside part only. You'd probably be better off cutting a piece off a cab with a good roof.

Ill see if I can get some pics tomorrow, I was also wondering if anybody has cut the roof off a good cab and swapping mine out cause I mean the headliner is being held up by some ducking tape at the corners and in where it connects to the other half of the headliner

Sounds like replacing the complete roof might not be a bad idea in your case. The easiest way to do this would be to remove the windshield and rear window and cut thru the middle of the 'A' and 'B' pillars. Just be sure to take lots of measurements so you retain the original window opening dimensions.

yes sir, thanx for the help like i said im not new to cutting and welding nor am i and expert but i think its a great solution for this truck, thanx for the advise, ohh and what about putting a big window in the back?anybody, thanx for the help guys

If you're going to replace the roof, you might as well look for one with a big back window. Get everything you need at once. There have been plenty of small to big window swaps. Check around. If you can handle the roof swap, you can surely handle the back window swap.

hell yea bro forsure but i think im just going to look for a whole cab in pretty good shape with a big window thanx for the help but i just think it will be alot easier.
