Re: Render me this, render me that...
ACEX that's awesome! I like the stock look with subtle mods. Clean and simple. Great rendering.

Re: Render me this, render me that...
For those wondering, I was quoted less than $300 for my rendering. Remember though, there were not a ton of changes made, no custom graphics, one-off wheels, or wht I would consider to be MAJOR changes to the overall appearance of the truck. The more complex things get, the more time it will take, the more it will cost. What you should have is a good idea of what you want to start off with and build off of that. I pretty much knew what I wanted going in. I changed the wheels twice and added the bumper mods late in the game, but that's it. There was a pretty clear plan early on and Robbie did an excellent job executing it. I can't wait to see the rear view. The stance should be killer.
EDIT: If you think $300 is too much for something like this, consider that on average, these can run $500+ and a friend of mine paid $700 for one of his Buick LeSabre that he's building. What you use these things for (besides motivation) is as a guide to how things should look when they are done. It can give your painter a more exact plan of what to do, you interior guy a solid base to work on, and gives potential sponsors a real idea of what the end product will look like.

Re: Render me this, render me that...
I was going to say 300-500 is your average starting price. That usually includes a single 3/4 or side view.

Re: Render me this, render me that...
Wow that is a good price the last time I looked for some one to do this I got quoted $600.00.... Hey AceX can he do interiors? I just found someone else off another board that quoted me $25.00 but its an exterior only rendering. I need some one who can do engine, interior & trunk (its for a car) Here is a sample of his work..

Re: Render me this, render me that...
Robbie told me that they won't do engines as that one of the first things I asked him about. As for the interior, I don't know. I've seen a couple of Keg Media's renderings that have partial interior shots, but nothing full-on. You can always ask them. worst they can say is "No"
Carter Hickman Designs does top-notch work and can do interiors and engines IIRC. I don't think he does chassis, but I may be wrong.

Re: Render me this, render me that...
I haven't been on the board much lately. I've been trying to get some stuff done around the house while I have some time off. I read this the other day though, and found it interesting and inspirational.
Figured I would see how I did with a full blown "rendering". Menace contacted me a couple weeks ago, when I was doing chops for Ehmen to see if I would do a chop of his truck. I emailed to ask what exactly he wanted done, but I didn't get a response. No big deal--I wanted artistic freedom anyhow. I don't think he wanted to change the look too much. Anyway, since I owed him a chop, and his truck is such a good foundation and he sent me some decent photos--I figured I would use his truck. Hope he doesn't mind. I see why they charge what they do. This definitely took some time. And since I lost my job last week (long, horrible story), if any of you guys want a rendering done and you like my style, let me know. It would be terrific to make some extra cash while I'm looking for a job. And I would definitely be on the far low end of that ^ price spectrum, depending on whats to be done. Who knows maybe this could be the start of much better career for me? I did a couple of versions since I didn't know what he wanted.

Re: Render me this, render me that...
Sorry AceX! but you guys have to see this!!
Just keep in mind this is not finished... this is just a rough draft and a basic template but i love it soooo much i had to show it off. Joseph your the man... and BTW, the colors spot on, the slots are sick but they just dont make them like that so they will be Coys, factory '78 grille or thin bar billet, and 1 piece window.
