Has anyone used the Brothers air ride kit?
I was looking at the new Brothers web page and see they have a 4 wheel Air Ride kit for about $1600. Has anyone used this kit? Is it any good? I want to drop my truck at shows but don't want to notch the frame. I have a 3/4 drop and want lower but be able to drive it with out rubbing the frame or headers.

I have never used it, but it looks like quality components. The only thing I see that I think should be upgraded is the air tank. A 2 gallon tank isn't going to be big enough.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that first link isn't for a 4wd. It's for coil spring suspension.

Tony I think you miss read his first post. He didn't say it was for a 4wd wheel drive, he said "4 wheel Air Ride kit " meaning it has air ride on all 4 corners.
I would run at least a 3 gallon, but two 3's or a 5 gallon would be better. Your probably going to get a total of 4-5" drop before you hit the frame. Why are you opposed to a C-Notch?

The truck is done and the frame is powder coated and perfect.

I say you'll get more than 6" drop before you hit the frame since vendors sell 6" drop springs to be used without a notch (ECE). The front is probably where you'll scrape the headers.
It's an adjustable suspension - raise when you need to. |

I just wanted an idea of how it will look when i'm at a show and drop it down. Will I gain alot more then the 3"/4" drop I have now.

Yes, I would say that you will almost double that. If you really want to take full advantage of it, do a bolt in C-notch. You can always powder coat the notch to match.

If you want to get an general idea of how low it's going to sit with air on it why not take some simple measurements. You can measure the distance from the center of the rear-end housing up to the bed floor (X) and then measure the distance from the axle tube to the bottom of the frame (Y). By measuring those two points you will be able to see where the rear-end will be in relation to the bed floor when the axle hits the frame, or if the rear-end will come in contact with the floor before the axle tube touches.
If the axle touches the frame first, then take measurement (Y) and measure down off the fender opening to see where the body will be when aired down. You can also take the same measurement (Y) and subtract that from however far the trucks chassis is off the ground and it will tell you appx. how low the trucks chassis will be as well. Remember this is going to get you a ball park idea of how low the truck will be. Good luck with the project.

I have a mild notch in mine (top of the framerail is not modified). With airbags and 2" blocks the the pumpkin will almost touch the bed floor.

Just fyi, when you start lowering you cant stop , its like crack for your truck , i started with a static drop had the chassis complete , then i went to air bags with bolt in c-notch, still not enough now i have raised my bed floor, in the process of stepping my frame right now , upper and lower strong arms , remote control air ride... anyway you get the drift, be careful its a har addiction to break.. did i mention that i have dreams about gettin a pb dropmember, and all of this started with lowering springs oh and by the way throughout all of these changes i still havent got to drive the truck yet !!!
