Re: the what did you get done thread 10/11/09

I just told my girlfriend that Scoti got a foot cut off his hair. She almost seemed upset. She had hair envy.

Like the paparazzi, I have a picture for every occasion.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: the what did you get done thread 10/11/09

I finally got something truck related done this weekend. After my heater core took a dump on me about a month back, I finally got the time to replace it. What a pain! I had to drop the inner fender to reach the bottom nuts because mine is an A/C cab. I hadn't done one of these in almost 15 years and I hope it's another 15 before I ever have to do it again! It took me the better part of a day to pull, and replace it. I replaced all the hoses while I was at it, and bought new belts, but didn't get them put on yet. I'll likely do that one day this week. ...Joe

Thanks Ken. You know how our minds work on the 'solid' valve-covers..... Out of sight, out of mind. I've got a set of OE Vette covers in my possesion but I'm going to use them on the 74 (kind of like what you had before in the 77). The 74 will be a 'muscle-car' theme, the 64 is getting something a little earlier.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I got pictures, lots of pictures. Can anyone spot Michael in this picture ?

I will give you a hint. Michael don't need a barber, ever.
