steering box on 71 4x4
will the steering box from a 75 4x4 fit on a 71 4x4?
are there any other changes that need made ? |

Welcome to the 67-72 Chevy Truck Board from West Michigan!
The 75 will bolt up with no mods. I believe that it was not until 79 that they changed the fittings. Jim

I used the one off an '86 just so I could have the new fittings. Bolt patterns are the same.

Hmmm, I thought the "spline" count on the male end of the steering box changed in 73?
I could be confussed that has been happening alot lately...

I have also seen different splines for that shaft.

Just use the ends that go to the steering box you are gonna use.
