The PO cut my frame
Thay cut the last 4" off the frame to put on an aftermarket rear bumper. I would like to put the factory bumper back on. My question is will the pickup brackets work or do i need to weld on new frame pieces? Has anybody used the truck brackets? If so does it sit properly? thanks for any help.

Re: The dumb a$$ PO cut my frame
I used those bumper brackets on mine. Take a look through my thread, its a few pages from the begining, I think, lol. Its a pic of the brackets along with a reciever hitch I put in. Should be no problem for ya to use the brackets.

Re: The dumb a$$ PO cut my frame
I've seen more whines about po's. Just my two cents. But hey, it was their truck. They did what they wanted with it, same as you all are. it was their right. And these truck were never thought of as collector items. So bailing wire and chewing gum were pretty common fixes. Their I got it off my chest. Sorry if i offended anybody.

Re: The dumb a$$ PO cut my frame
Po did the same with mine with the execption that he did use the brackets.
NOt sure how well they worked as when I got the blazer it was all apart and they cut the inner brackets into to remove bumper(a hole). Didn't see the outer brackets on j's build, I assume they are used. I'll be watching for some pics as I'm a couple of months away from installing bumpers. good luck

Don't worry, nobody is offended. We all have the right to whine, gripe, cuss, live, love, etc.. Its America and so far they (they as in the politicaly correct) haven't taken away those rights, lol.
I dug up a pic with inner and outer brackets, the outers are hangin' down. |
