Frenched headlights in 55-57

I'm trying to find some pics and how it's done or has it been done?
I was told that 70s Camaro headlights could be used.

These are the Hagan units put in one. I like the way they look. If I go this route I may just get the rings that get painted body color instead of the chrome ones.
I'm also thinking of using the head light rings from a mid 50's Mercury.
The only problem with them is once they are welded on the lights have to go in from the back side.
