I have a very nice tach dash that i want to install in my truck but i dont know what or where to add the wire in for the tach. My truck already has a guage cluster so i think everything else is there. So any help would be helpful. Thanks in advance. I tried a search but it kept timing out.

well might have found my answer i finally got the search to work and found a thread that says to hook a wire to the left terminal (as you are looking at it) to a hot with the ingnition on and the right to the tach on the distributor. Anything else before i tackle this job? sounds pretty easy and straight foward. The main reason i want to put in the tach is i drive on the interstate a lot and i worry about my engine at high rpms for prolong periods. Any suggestions at a safe rpm?
