front bumper brackets
are the brackets for an 86 front bumper and an 81 front bumper the same? i had the body shop mount the new front bumper but i noticed today that the brackets for the bumper are right behind the holes fo the lights.

Re: front bumper brackets
Yep, I think they are the same. I had to "trim" some of that off to mount my fogs in there...... You won't want to PUSH anything with the sides anyway..... Don't cut anything until you find the lights you want; then only cut away what is needed.

Re: front bumper brackets
I have the original 81 lights for the bumper but after seeing your mod ideas are dancing around in my head, but i dont even think the original ones will fit in there now.

Re: front bumper brackets
Yes, the original blinkers are designed to fit in there. They are thin on one side and thick on the other; for the space available....
