Re: Thought I had seen it all

that truely makes me sick. just imagen that could be driving toward you goin 60 mph. people that build this stuff should realize a car/truck is a weapon we all just assume is safe

Wow what a waste of time money and material......looks like the chain is holding the back from sagging from the lack of frame cross section at the cool notches.

Re: Thought I had seen it all

At first I thought it was for when the rearend wraps up, but realized the pinion lifts. So it must be for rapid deaccelration flexing. The guy is probably sitting somewhere asking himself "why didn't anyone else ever think of this?". Poor concept, poor execution. Hopefully the next owner will recognize that.

Re: Thought I had seen it all

Wow!!! What else do you say to that? Let me show you guys something else really scary. A friend of mine bought a '47 Ford truck with "Airbags, 4 wheel disc brakes, Mustang 2 front susp." and had me take a look at it to see what needed fixing. Notice the 12" long panhard rod (too short AND welded together!) AND welded to the center section This was actually driven! The 4 link was just as scary. No support and it moved side to side about an inch! Needless to say, EVERYTHING was ripped out and all redone. LOTS of scary fab guys out there!!!

I would like to know the area that this came from, so I can stay well clear. Looks like a crash looking for a place to happen.

Re: Thought I had seen it all

There's four days left on the auction. We all need to send him a message (if you're an ebay member) and tell him what a cool truck he has, and compliment him on his fabrication skills. And, ask him if he does work for hire.

Re: Thought I had seen it all

That's insane. The only thing crazier than his sorry set-up is the 4 monkeys bidding on the action. I truly hope the winner (if you can call him/her that) doesn't take his word on driving it at 60 mph all day long and swaps out that frame.

I agree very scary, 60 mph with your springs welded directly to the axle and a torque chain just in case
