I like the Cavalier wheels, they are smaller so you have some leg room, padded, look 10 times better than the huge ferris wheels these trucks came with.

I think all of the GM non-air bag wheels swap back and forth. If you can take your wheel with you and compare them.

I think it will.... I've seen a 67-72 with a 78 or so wheel in it, on the 67-72 column.

I found a gray one of those on a Chevette. I have it in my 67 C-10.

Re: Any steering wheels of choice? Pics please

I'm using this one in my Blazer.

You probably won't find it in a junkyard, but it's a Grant copy of a wheel used in older Corvettes and I'm pretty sure it was used in some Chevelles. That is my favorite Chevy steering wheel.

It was optional on first gen Camaro's too. I had one and had to wear gloves when I drove the car home from work. The rivets got really hot in an enclosed car in the Mojave Desert. So did the chrome shifter ball.

It's been in a box in the "parts pile" for a while now. I've only had it on a few weeks so it hasn't had a chance to char my hands yet. I put it on to force motivation to get the rest of the interior pieces I need and freshen it up.

I do like that late 70's 4-spoke Z28 wheel pictured earlier, that looks good in the truck. But with a non-tilt column on these trucks, I don't like anything smaller than a 15" steering wheel so it doesn't clip the view of the top of the gauges.

I'm at work or else I'd go measure mine, but what is the stock diameter of our steering wheels?

Re: Any steering wheels of choice? Pics please

I like that 80's Camaro steering wheel. I found one off of an S-10 today at UrJerkinit (PicknPull and pay out ragious taxes). I went there with a plan and all my tools slected for the job, so I thoght. I forgot to stop at a hardware store for a couple of 5/16 bolts for the wheel puller. I had one and took about an hour and a half to find another laying on the ground. That's just how it works at a UrJerkinit yard.

The steering wheel is from an S-10 but I see the same one on Astro vans.

Pics to follow. And keepem coming, I have a 30 day exchange,,, and another $25 bucks for gas to get there and back.

I like that one too. My 83 Z/28 had the leather wrapped version. They are pretty hard to find in decent shape in the Camaro's. Good to know they were in some S-10 variants too.

I've had the three spoke Buick/Corvette comfort grip on my last few vehicles and really like the OE look. You can find them in several colors also. Merry Christmas.
