Spare Tire Carrier
Will a 1981 chevy under the bed spare tire carrier work on a 72 Chevy truck?

Re: Spare Tire Carrier
Can't answer your question directly...
I can tell you that using a '93 or older model Dodge Truck carrier will work! I don't remember when the body style change was (early 80's?). I pulled my carrier from a late 80's Dodge truck. I got everything that was associated with it. It almost lined up perfect with the existing holes in my frame rails on my '70. I installed it in '02 or '03 so I don't have a ton of info on it, but I do remember it being a square sealed-beam headlight dodge truck.

Re: Spare Tire Carrier
caled LMC and ask what years the tire carrier they had covered and they told me the tire carrier covers the years 67-72 and 75-87 so I found one today at junk yard .
