Interior colors opinions
I'm planning on redoing my interior before too long, and I really don't know what color combo I want yet. I'm going to wrap all the plastic in a leather feeling vinyl and have the billet inserts on the door panels and dash. I was thinking of either wrapping all the plastic in a light gray, painting all the metal on the bottom of the dash black, black carpet, and the main color on the seats black with gray inserts, and a black suede headliner and black suede inserts on the door panels. OR wrapping everything in black, still painting the metal black, black carpet, seats black with gray inserts, and a gray suede headliner and gray suede door panel inserts.
What do y'all think? |

Re: Interior colors opinions
Do u have more pics of your truck?!
Just got my dad's 84 GMC 3500 painted the same color. I cant tell from ur pic but do u have a bedliner? I also restored the interior. I kept it Carmine red- maroon dash, maroon door panels, maroon cloth seat and black floor matt. I thought about going black like Keith Seymore did to his red truck- It looks great- but I decided to stay stock. The red/black combo has a real nice offset look but i have/had 2 black interiors and I think there is a better choice of color for the summer sun. Here's some pics: |

Yeah here's my build log http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=375526 not much of one since I didn't take any pictures before paint lol. I'm going out to take some more pictures of it today, all lights, bumpers, etc are on now. Even put my Alpine 9887 and my 4 channel in so I have some tunes to ride to. No bedliner yet, we just didn't spray the bed so it's the stock gray color. I'm thinking of doing a herculiner and spraying it myself since Line-X and RhinoLiner is so expensive. |

Re: Interior colors opinions
I love the black and gray look. I always black everything out so it would be nice to see some more options that people have done.

Re: Interior colors opinions
So Gray as the main color is in. Now what all should be black? I was thinking carpet, headliner, door panel inserts, and the seats black with gray inserts, but now I'm not sure.
For sure the door panel inserts will be black. But that's the only thing I know for sure. What do y'all think? |

Re: Interior colors opinions
Here is a picture of my seat. It is black and grey. I did the door panels in black and the inserts in the same grey as the seat.

Re: Interior colors opinions
Just took pics today at the bodyshop. Truck originally had a mroon vinyl seat but i wanted something more comfortable. I know that alot of people dont like the red on red and there is little contrast but i wanted to keep it basically stock and not shock my 83 year old dad! I think it looks good but as far as contrast u cant go wrong with black or gray or beige. It's a tough choice.

Re: Interior colors opinions
The black and gray look great on a black or silver/gray truck. On a red truck, you need something that compliments, rather than contrasts. If you don't care for the tan/biege colors, then I suggest red of some shade. That pic of the red seat posted looks great.

I really like the way your seat is. I am going to do mine the same but in a two tone blue.

Re: Interior colors opinions
Here's the aforementioned 'Keith Seymore' interior:
It was originally a red/maroon, but the ladies never liked what they perceived to be a "color mismatch" - even when it was new:

Re: Interior colors opinions
tan sets off a red paint job much better than gray or black
