Re: Offroad Bumpers
Have I seen you on Cherokee forums? The bumpers look familiar.... Look pretty good too.

Re: Offroad Bumpers
I really like the Ford rear bumper with the lights. Great job.

Re: Offroad Bumpers
I know when I get ready to build my 1 ton crew cab 72', I am going to want to make one that looks close to Fab Fours Classic Winch bumper with Pre Runner bars like they do for newer trucks, but no one makes that same look for older trucks. For the rear I'd make one similar to the looks of your rear Cherokee bumper. I think they would look really good on a big 1 ton. Trevor

I'v built 3 of those so far, one for that truck, one for a 85 chevy (no pics because I didn't have a camera thanks to a mudding incident) and one for a 01 Ford which has the backups, oval strobes and oval stop/turn/tail lights (here's a pic of the one for the 01 Pre Paint, the bumper was ordered raw to be painted to match the truck) Quote:
thanks for the words of support and if you have any suggestions please let me know Last edited by Tex_50613; 01-15-2010 at 09:12 PM. |

Re: Offroad Bumpers
Do you think that 1/8 steel is too thin for a off road bumper?
its a 67c10 I gonna add some 1/4 plate to the top and then add some tubing and a winch(later). and to attach it im gonna add some either c channel or some big enough square tubing connect it so the bumper and then to the frame with some grade 8 bolts Pretty much what im planning to do just with the tubing attached to the top of the bumper. http://image.4wheeloffroad.com/f/314...250+bumper.jpg
