Re: off it goes

Doing a little tailgating.....sectioned headboard height and width, took bottom tailgate factory lower tailgate support and inverted it so it's now concave and won't rub on back side of the raised bed floor. filled in handle

Re: off it goes

What is your technique for grinding/sanding once you have done your welding? It's like you poured the metal out and molded it.

Very clean, wish I had the time and skill to finish my under hood of my SquareBody like that....

Re: off it goes

green 3M bristle disc, it cleans the metal, but doesn't remove metal, it also smooths out your grinding scratches

What do you use or how do you get your welds down to that point though to avoid low spots etc?

Re: off it goes

that's my buddies deal....he is unreal with the form and fit of every piece before the welder even comes out....and his welding in unbelievable. He had his sons Dart he build in Buffalo Autorama last year and the Ring Brothers were overwhelmed with his work and attention to detail....

Re: off it goes

the sheet metal work alone on this build is amazing, the radiator cover, hood latch portion is very nice, I like the way it contours around the overflow

Re: off it goes

This is probably the 10th time I've said this but that work is amazing. I've only seen a select few people in the world that can fab like that guy. Your big rigs are cool too, or well the ones you work on.
