Need a shortcut!!
I just got new "K/5 Blazer" emblems & need to install them (factory holes are there).
Is there an easy way to get at the inside of the fender to install the nuts? Do I have to remove the fender completely? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Need a shortcut!!
You might try taking the inner fender loose and drop it down enough to get your hand up in there.

Re: Need a shortcut!!
Most parts stores carry something that I believe is called a speed nut ( not certain on the name) it just inserts into the hole and then you push the emblem prong into it. This is how I did mine. Im not certain how you remove them since I havent had a need to.

Re: Need a shortcut!!
Is it a barrel clip? They make some round clips that go inside the drilled holes and stay in place and accept the emblem studs.

Re: Need a shortcut!!
You need extremely skinny arms & remove the inner fenders. The drivers side is easier than the passenger side.

Do the holes need to be drilled out to use these? I'll check with the parts stores as soon as I can..

Re: Need a shortcut!!
I'd be interested in the name off the pack - I tried to use some a while back but they didn't grip the emblem studs very well.

Re: Need a shortcut!!
The bag just says for 3/16" stud
The parts counter guy called them insert nuts, he knew what I was looking for right away so I assume they are reasonably common. I got them at Arnold Motor Supply, they are an Auto Value franchise- $5 for 10 of them, I went there since they have alot of auto body supply stuff. Here's a pic.. Hope this helps!

Most people call them barrel nuts.
