Power to the cab

I have no power to the cab. Where does the cab get it's power form ( I assume the starter, if so, which terminal) and where does it go (I assume the fuse box but maybe ignition switch??). There is an open terminal on the fuse box labeled "ignition unfused".

More input would be helpful. What in the cab doesn't work - the dash lights, dome light, etc - or the starter switch, headlights, etc. And do you have an inline 6 or a V8. Also did this just happen, or has the truck been down or apart for a while?

I have no power at all in the cab, nothing to the ignition switch and no lights anywhere on the truck. I had the starter disconnected and the positive cable out for a few months. I DID have the instrument cluster out to fix a fuel gauge issue and I removed a few wires that were not being used but I traced them all end to end to be certain that they weren't in use and none of then left the cab The battery is brand new and fully charged and the ground is good. Last fall, before I did anything to the truck, I did have an issue with the headlights going dim on occasion, another thing I still need to look into once I get power. There is a heavy gage wire coming from the starter (same terminal as the batt cable) and comes into the cab and goes to nothing but I'm reasonably certain that it went to an underdash ammeter that was removed last year and I had plugged it into the stock ammeter. I figured that I hadn't yet plugged it back into the ammeter after putting the cluster back in. I could be wrong as This all took place over the last 4 months and I am also working on a model A and my memory is so bad that I may all muddled up.

Found it. Someone had posted this site a while back and I saved it http://www.madelectrical.com/electri...evymain1.shtml . Came across it this morning and the simple diagram and explanation lead me right to the problem. The wire from the battery to the horn relay had fallen under the battery box and I had not seen it when I hooked the battery up. I knew it was something simple but didn't know where to look. I was looking on the wrong side of the truck.
