Re: Remove top door hinge....?

The hinge is shot too at the moment but along with weak old sheet metal and getting jerked around on the hinge it broke (before I got the truck).

I could get the welding done but I would rather not damage the paint on the outside. I recognize that a new door would probably be best but at my stage in life I would like to just mend this. Is it really plausible to mend it or just an all around bad idea?
