G,day new here
G,day I,m new to this forum and have found a lot of good info on here keep it up guys. I,ve got a 64 c10 stepside 230 , 3 on tree lowered 2" in front and 4" in rear. Still working on it to get it registered here in Australia as its a recent import from USA. You guys are so lucky to have easy access to cheap parts, most bits I,ve needed I order from USA as its cheaper to do that and pay postage than buy locally. Also have a 38 chev sedan that I,m rodding ( 327, turbo 400, jaguar front and rear end still got a way to go with it. Enough raving for now.
Cheers Matt |

Welcome from Washington state. Your pic looks like it could have been taken anywhere in small town USA. Is there much street rod activity in your area?

Re: G,day new here
Yes we have lots of rod runs in Victoria. That pic was from last weekend in Ararat about 1 hour from home a weekend of rocknroll and cool cars.
The pickup came into Aus mid last year lookin pretty much the same but it had a crude lowering job so I,ve replaced the springs with lowered set from summit racing. I,ve also replaced brakes including brake hoses and bits and pieces to pass road worthy cert for Aussie rego. Plans are then to keep it on the road while doing up body and paint maybe with more scallops than it has at present. haven,t decided on wheels yet maybe smoothies. Will keep it with 230 as fuel here is too dear to run v8 every day. Funds will dictate how far I go with mods as most parts need to be imported US part prices are pretty good even at exchange rate but postage is the killer. No way around that tho. |

Welcome to the site. I fixed the tags on your picture so it would show. Quite a few aussie folks on the site. It always amazes me the troubles you all have with parts/laws etc.

Yeah rules over here are very strict but once you get rego its easier to get away with some mods otherwise you go allout and just rely on permits to use your car but that gets experience. |
