You're getting the storm that just passed through NM I bet. We got about 10" at the house. Got some good shoveling exercise this morning...

Re: One weird winter
I've been thinking I need to find a nice warm spot somewhere around Dino and Protrash. Cold weather is something I would not miss.

Re: One weird winter
But you'd be begging for snow in August when it's 115 degrees!

Re: One weird winter
Long time Member of the Driftbuster Snowmobile Club, I am a winter lover
all the way. I couldn't live anywhere it didn't snow a few months of the year. Here I have been Praying for snow since November. We just got our first snow of the winter yesterday, and I hit 100 mph on a Soy Bean field. Man that felt good. I live in the snow belt but all the winter storms have missed us until yesterday. Walking the dogs up in the hills last night after being outside for 5 hours I was feeling lazy. I laid down in a snow bank while the dogs snooped around. I near fell asleep with the snow slowly drifting me over, cold no way. I like summer but I hate hot weather, you southerners can have it. 14 F is just fine cept all the salt made our old "chev's" Biodegradable. |

Re: One weird winter
I agree, I did not work on mine either because of the cold/wet weather. I was lucky this week. It snowed yesterday, but you can't tell. Ground was to warm and nothing stuck here. Funny thing is over just south of here and down to Palestine area, they had about 6"......Longview & Tyler - nothing..

Re: One weird winter
We did not have snow in Crosby but it was too cold to work in the shop. the small electic heater worked if you sat on top of it. As I tell the guys that live up north we don't have to shovel heat.

Re: One weird winter
Just a reminder, we don't have to shovel heat in south Texas. But the snow sure is pretty to look at. I remember those snowy days when I lived in Colorado annd Wyoming.

Re: One weird winter
Yep, it's all out there in this great country of ours, just depends on what a guy prefers.
Personally I prefer 4 seasons... as long as the summer isn't high humidity and oppresive temperatures. |

Re: One weird winter
Thats the down side, we have high humidity and oppresive heat but we have fairly mild weather from October thru May, but the summers thru Sept sometimes are almost unbearable. You can't beat the summer weather in Colorado and Wyoming because it is great with low humidity and not too hot.

Re: One weird winter
Yeah, I got hammered with about a foot at my house. Thankfully the C10 (for content, hahaha) has a garage slot! I paid some teenager to clear my driveway for me though. I wasn't relishing throwing that wet slop all morning long.

Re: One weird winter
I think that snow in Colorado in late March would not be a suprise like it would be in Texas. I woke up to snow falling most of the day Sunday, the SECOND DAY OF SPRING!!! It is normally does not do that....we rarely get snow....
