Re: 82 blazer chop top

It looks very well put together. If I look past the front clip, I kinda like it. I think I would put windows in the top though. And make it body color instead of vinyl. Then woowee! Now I am getting excited. Very nice truck as is I just always think, "what I would do different" to anything.

Re: 82 blazer chop top

The front clip is ok with me but the vinyl top has got to go. And I would get different wheels but that's just me, they're not that bad. I'd love to see more pics of the rear bag install. It looks like those mounts would reach up to the roof of the top.

I'm not big on chop tops, but that is pretty cool. Got any pics with the top off?

I'd like to see how the rear of the top is handled. Swing up Lexan?

Re: 82 blazer chop top

thanks for the reply's guys now I just have to decide if i want to go get this truck. I'am not sure if i like the grille and as far as the top i would probably run it around with no roof anyway. But I believe this truck is very well built and thats what matters most to me anyway. Thanks for the imput greatly appreciated.

Re: 82 blazer chop top

Swap the grill back to a normal 81-87 truck or 89-91 blazer grill and it would be cool.
And some different wheels.

Re: 82 blazer chop top

You know, after you mention it Keith...the 89-91 Suburban clip would match that truck well. It gives the perception of being more wide & low across the front.

Hit me with a stick...I dig the front clip...serious. Looks thought not, not just slapped together...and it's unique.

Re: 82 blazer chop top

hey guys I decided not buy it because it is built to be a two seater and that just does not work with the family. truck is real cool and well built but it needs some finishing. you can drive this thing scraping the pavement if you want too. The guy that owns this thing is a real car guy and great guy to deal with we chatted for a couple of hours and he just wants this thing to go to a good home as his dad bought this thing brand new. hopefully someone on here wants to buy this thing its real cool but just does not work for us i guess.

To bad you chose not to buy, it is a very nice truck. I've seen it at the car show in Red Deer and talkted to the owner about it. oh well.
