leaky (very rusty) gas tank!
Hey I have a 1980 and my right side tank, has bit the big one! It has rusted right where it sits on the straps, is it cheaper to but a new one from LMC or try and get it fixed some how?
Someone told me that you can tank to special place here in mt town and they sand it down then bronze flux it then cote it in the box liner stuff? Has anyone ever fixed a tank or did you just start brand new? I looked and its going to be $99.95 through LMC truck parts, I live in canada so it will be like close to $250.00 in Canuck money! Thanks for any input, Mattyj

I would replace it with a new one.
JC Whitney sells both regular steel tanks and poly tanks.

Just get a new one. Don't try to repair your old one. Not worth it.
