Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
those are aftermarket made by a custom coach company.. those are not factory . You can prolly make your own with a scroll saw and a sander

Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
I have some in my crew, think it was made by Choo Choo Customs. Looks similar to that, but since I haven't seen the truck in what seems like ages, can't be sure.
Thinking of taking it out and going with billet aluminum.

Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
You can order them from wabbits inc. at the following websight;
http://www.wabbitsww.com/Pages/HomePage.html Or even through www.stylintrucks.com Just enter your vehicles info then click on the interior link Then on the "Dash kits,covers & accessories link And since I'm not offering to sell or buy to a non-subscribed user but just offering up info as to where he can find what he's looking for, That shouldn't violate any rules does it? I'd hope not.

Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
Here is some crappy pics of mine. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it. I like aluminum, but I need a center console, that would be expensive to make. At least the wood is there for one, and it's cheap and easy to make....

Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
Ok so I called the place above Wabbits when the guy told me the price I had to call 911 because my heart stopped. When the numbers 450 came Out of his mouth I almost died. Thats a little much for some dash pieces I think.

Re: Wood Grain Dash Insert
I started a mock up for some wooden pieces (using Cherry hardwood) on my 82'. I am at the dash insert (ising 73-80 dash) and door panel trim right now. The dash bezel trim is another story. I am about half way throgh making templates right now out of cardboard. Let me tel you what kind of pain in the a*& that is. They are probably cutting it on a CNC machine which is alot easier than using a ban and scroll saw. For $ 450 they must be using mahogany or something!!!!!!!!!!!!I have some pics in another thread on here is you want to check them out.
