is there any mod for a power door locks on a 65?

yes there is for any vehicle. i have a 67 c10 and i put in a alarm and installed doorlock actuators with it very simple to install ill post pics later there are also kits designed for just door locks in lmc truck

I have the acuall magazine that the aticle is in. If you get ahold of Custom Classic Trucks and ask them for a back issue, they might have one they will send to you . It would be the April 2001 mag.

well i found a pair of actuator for the truck on ebay for 4 bucks
if i could get some one too scan me that mag with better view of the words
would be great.. and ill do a tut on it since i havent seen one on here..
im sure there a few of us would like to have power door locks on a BUDGET!

im sure you would have to mod it if you want it on your truck

I'm sorry I really meant to say "Not Showing any modifications" I suppose you can engage the locking bar with some sort of servo accuator having to put in a lock button? I don't know, I was just asking if it could be done.

i followed the mag.. i had to make a few dif ajustment
because i didnt have everything stated on here just what was lying around
you need some brake line
i had some wire rope. thats was for my door popers.
and one pise of steel plate.
if you read the mag it says to weld another piece of plate on the top
if you do happen to do that you will run into problems when you install it
it was very close to striaght foward
i didnt have anything to stop the ends of the wire rope so i c notch the ends of the plate and welded it shut.
and you will need a small spring not sure how much tension
but enought to keep it locked at all time
it happens to unlock it self with out the spring

I found a keyless entry kit with actuators for $30 and that's cheaper than what it would cost to replace the locks that I don't have keys for in the door.

Yah it's all done and they work great. The thing I like most even if a thief broke my window and tried to open the door on the inside it won't open unless I unlock it

the passenger side came out alot better i have trouble with the driver side opening from the inside.
i could make a really nice tut on this but the pages from that truck mag really help.
i just changed i few thing from it. and only because i didnt have the right tools

oh and i have this all running with my alarm. so only was to unlock/lock is with the alarm
