Thumbs up Check Out This Score!!

I bought an '85 Blazer today for the front clip. The glove box showed the motor as a 305. When I got it home it is actually a 400 from a late 70s truck... BUT... the best was when I checked out "below"!

Someone put a 205/400 setup in it!!!! I had to do a double-take!
Its the same setup I run in my '80 one ton dually 4x4!!

Moral of story ... dont take anything for granted!!!!!!

Can't go wrong with getting more than you paid for. Maybe if you sell it you can recoup some other costs that you have probably incurred in your other building endeavors

Sorry!!!!

kwmech,

I dont think I want to "let go" of the set up, and I definately dont want to split them. I came across a 400/205 set up on ebay last night with a $500 bid.... not too bad a starting price. I sold my last set for $750 and trans needed rebuilt.

My one ton has over 350,000 miles on it and I hope it goes another 350m. I do have one "set" on the shelf right now for a back-up, but I plow snow and I like to have some spare stuff around.

What are you wanting to put it in?

( oh, notice the bend in the front bumper? thats all that happened to it when a '95 ford pickup pulled out in front of me last winter with my plow on at 45mph.. the ford and my plow were both totaled!)
