Column Shifter Spring

I tried installing my brand new billet column shifter which didn't go as planned. I tried wedging it but it wouldn't budge so I gave up. I decided id do a bit more research before I mess something up...that's when it happened.

When I tried to reinstall the oem shifter the column shifter spring on the inside of the column popped out and fell into the column. Now what???

Advise is greatly appreciated. Its my daily driver guys so id appreciate some feedback asap. Thx in advance.
