Transfer case removal advise
I'm going to replace the seal in my transfer case adapter due to a sea of ATF on the garage floor. Question: Do I need to remove the trans hump to access the TC shifter to drop, or can I do it all from underneath the truck. My manual is very generic. Any tips?

Re: Transfer case removal advise
In general, I would say yes, it will make it easier. It may not be "required" but it sure couldn't hurt. It will definately help when it goes back in.....

Re: Transfer case removal advise
it's not that much worse to do it with the hump in. You can get everything from the bottom. Only thing that's kind of a PITA is the 2 TC to trans bolts that are near the shift linkage. I just yanked mine out today. Best advice I have is to trick one of your buddies into helping you, these things are sooo heavy.
