Re: First Ticket!!!!

lol, my first ticket. I think I was 17, me and my mom were on a road trip, I was driving, she dozed off, I got busted doing 80 in a 55(back when speed limits in interstates were 55)...
Right as I was graduating high school, with the money I got from that, It all went to the nearly $300 ticket...ya, she was not happy. I was totally bummed.

My first ticket was for no seat belt, and along with that i got 2 warnings, one for a cracked windshild and the other for my tag being expired (was on my way to get it renewed so he let me off on that one)

Oh yeah samething here in Wichita.. I received 2 of them when I was in highschool. The 15's I had back then would make some peoples' nose bleed.

Also I've had too many tickets to remember... it seems that my luck is the nicer vehicle you drive the more it sticks out... which equals the move they notice you and pull you over (too dark of windows, etc). Just my luck anyways... I've sold vehicles just for that reason only. I'm not a "bad guy"... just my luck... but I also understand they are just doing their job

I've gotten a few tickets.

A couple for having my front window tinted, speeding, and passing on shoulder in my k5 Blazer "in the unpaved portion of the road" lol

Re: First Ticket!!!!

my first was 3, squalled tires in my 86 monte carlo ss at the gas station in front of burger king and the cop was like 40 ft away beside a pump and i didn't see him, got me for wreckless driving, no seat belt, no corrective lenses, got out of them with $60 and seat belt class and no more tickets for two years or i would have to pay for the others just for trying to show out in front of my friends

Re: First Ticket!!!!

Passing someone in a no passing section (used a turn lane ) ---- after that , a whole slew of speeding tickets resulting in me losing my license twice in my early 20's -- i had just gotten out of the Army and had a new Z 28 - LOL

Nothing in the last 10 years though

Re: First Ticket!!!!

I got my first and only so far when i was 16 on my way to my father's for his birthday party. Florida DOT caught me doing 94mph in a 70mph zone. I kick myself every day because i thought it was a cop car, but it didn't have lights on the roof so i kept pushin it.

Then he added on for 1 window being tinted really dark, and the driver side window had fallen off track at a gas station i had left earlier that day, and he said if the window was working he would've hit me for that 1 too. as it was speeding and 1 window cost me a $204.00 ticket.

Then he followed me to my exit, went to the same gas station as me, and while he was inside the store i started having trouble starting the truck. when he came out it had started smoking. he leaned up against his cruiser and munched on a candy bar while watching me struggle under the hood.

Re: First Ticket!!!!

I think my first one was 73 in a 65 but I know one of my first was at 3am driving an hour back from playing a concert. I was in my 66 el camino I was tired and wanted to get home I was about 20 miles from home and had been slowing down for every patch of cars hadn't seen a cop all night so I said screw it on the next patch of cars and behold 2 cop cars a county cop and a high po i was going fast I don't know how fast they knew i was as well by the time they got flipped around and caught back up with my I was clocked at 84 in a 65 i was 17 the ticket was QUITE expensive especially with the diversion added.

Re: First Ticket!!!!

my first ticket was a stereo being too loud. ive gotten them multiple times. all dismissed. officers didnt check it with a db meter or anything, so therefore it was just them thinking it was too lntolerable/loud.

Re: First Ticket!!!!

Coming home from college my freshman year in 1979 in a '76 GMC. Flying down a two lane truck route around midnight. Saw a sherriff turning around in a parking lot and tromped it think I could slip down a side road. Met a Ohio State Patrol about a mile down the road. 87 in a 55. Good thing he never looked in the truck bed. I had about a half-dozen road/stop signs that I had decorated my dorm room with.
Got two in one day one time...Haven't had anything in about 10 years though.
